"I am shaken by feeling of terrible injustice in relation to Anatoly Gurevich. The Person-legend, unique in the world from heads of "the Red chapel", extremely talented person who has lived up to now, - all his life he was slandered. His life was disfigured, not only without considering him the hero - and he undoubtedly deserves this rank, - but also having branded as the traitor. Gurevich actually became the hostage of struggle between the Main Intelligence Agency and counterspionage of the People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs, competing with each other as in fascist Germany Muller and Schellenberg's departments. Competing with each other, special services intercepted the initiative. The People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs has caught next major "spy", and the Main Intelligence Agency remains indifferent to the destiny of the employee, it is obvious because Kent was, as anybody another, informed on punctures of external investigation. He knew too much.

As a historian, who a lot of years worked hard on the destiny of agent Kent, I have questions to our authorities and to power structures. Anatoly Gurevich is recognised by the soldier-internationalist for war in Spain. His military experience was restored, he was given the inquiry that he was retired from the armed forces of the USSR since June, 20th, 1960, and the years of the Soviet camps were included too. Only in 1992 he received benefits as the participant of the Great Patriotic War. Why the veteran of domestic investigation didn’t get any awards by Native land till now? Why he didn’t get any money for a long-term service in the armed forces of the USSR? Why, subjected to repression and rehabilitated, he does not receive the extra charge to the pension guaranteed by our legislation? Why round him still a wall of inexcusable indifference?"

On behalf of readers of magazine "History of Petersburg" I want to congratulate Anatoly M. Gurevich with the 90 anniversary! Unfortunately the authorities of our state do not wish to honour the hero. Let today the love and recognition of the fellow countrymen, all fair Russians will be the award to him!
