The LAST HERO of the УRED CHAPELФ
Now, when this book has been already published, an outstanding Soviet scout Kent, inhabitant of St. Petersburg, Anatoly Gurevich is 93 years. He is not invented television character, but real last hero! He is the last hero of the well-known antifascist organization which have gone down in history by the name the УRed chapelФ. Heading Soviet military residents in the heart of the Western Europe, he has brought the invaluable contribution to struggle against fascism, in a victory of Soviet Union during the Great Patriotic War. Even brief enumeration of his feats does not cease to amaze. In March, 1940 he was one of the first Soviet scouts, who had reported to Moscow about a preparing attack of hitlerite Germany to the USSR. He has managed to adjust prospecting communication with outstanding German anti-fascist Schultz-Boyzen the high-ranking German officer therefore Soviet military investigation began to receive data of extreme importance. The resident Kent in the autumn 1941 has informed fatherland about a preparing impact of Wehrmacht on Caucasian and on Stalingrad direction. Further it has allowed not only to break a course of military events, but also to keep lives of many thousand Soviet people. In the autumn 1942 the resident Kent has been arrested by Gestapo, but has not given out the fighting comrades. It has spent long time in torture chambers of Belgium, France and Germany. Contained even in the chamber of condemned men, being constantly in handcuffs and foot shackles. In extremely difficult conditions Kent managed to make a feat, which was not made before by any scout in the world. Having been arrested, he managed so professionally to operate against the German counterspies that enlisted several of them including criminal adviser Hejnts Pannvits, who head of nazis on suppression of antifascist work of the УRed chapelФ in Europe. Even being in torture chambers Kent has managed to arrange keeping a life to the Soviet resident Ozolsu and other Soviet scouts. In June, 1945 Kent has delivered the German counterspies enlisted by him to Moscow and archive of Gestapo, which value nobody has estimated till now. Because of interdepartmental rivalry between the Soviet military investigation and external investigation People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs the resident Kent has been accused of committing crimes, as a result, has stayed in the Soviet camps almost 13 years. Only in July in 1991 he has been completely rehabilitated, though the unprecedented feats accomplished by him are not valued according to the merits till now. The main client of his firm was Wehrmacht. Earned by KentТs firm amount of money allowed to contain completely during long time all Soviet military residents. So there was a unique situation: in essence, fascists totally paid for work of the Soviet scouts against them. Being the Soviet officer during long time, A. Gurevich didnТt receive a pence from the funds, which under the Soviet laws should receive as the salary. And now the Russian authorities do not think of correction of that mistake. Anatoly Gurevich's life is a result of rare human talent, the main in which is skill fairly and faithfully to love Russia. But according to the saying - there is no prophet in the Fatherland. In the different countries are made numerous documentary and feature films about him, books and clauses are written. His feat long ago was recognized by millions of people in our country and is far behind its limits. In Belgium, for example, he is sacred as the national hero in what I had an opportunity to be convinced personally. However in Russia authorities do not wish to recognize his feat. Numerous references in various including the highest, instances till now do not give any results. The true Hero of Russia till now remains not noticed by the mighties of this world, though in opinion of usual people he is already the hero not only Russian, but also planetary scale Not by an accident national committee of public awards has presented A. Gurevich with order of Sacred prince Alexander Nevsky I of a degree for merits and the big personal contribution to development and strengthening of the Russian State, and also an order the Great Victory over courage and the heroism shown within Great Patriotic War. Memoirs of the resident Kent is an original answer to Leopold Treppera's memoirs УGreater gameФ which author has attributed to himself many another's feats including a management of all antifascist network the УRed chapelФ. Experts can estimate absurdity of his quotation the УRed chapelФ was really the international antifascist movement, the real national elements, and only God can operate them. Kent never suffered megalomania. His human modesty is a result of education and skill fairly to estimate own merits. Even now he does not consider himself as the hero. He simply loved and loves the country, native and close people, he hated and hates fascism and any other antihuman sights and acts. These memoirs will be interesting not only to the broad audience of readers, not only for professional scouts, but also for many other experts, including historians, psychologists and philologists. In particular, philologists, undoubtedly, will pay attention to original language of the author. Possibly, this originality is a result of his long stay in other countries, the compelled necessity for years to talk and even to think in another's languages. As a consequence you may see some heavy language of a narration, as the editor of this edition, I have tried to keep it without corrections. His inexpressible colour is a spirit of time, this consequence of the lived life, it is also history. Now Anatoly is a military pensioner, the major in resignation. Formally he is recognized as the veteran of Great Patriotic War and he was even awarded an order of Great Patriotic War of II degree as well as many of those who were just one day registered in the ranks of Red army up to a victory over the enemy. The former resident of the Soviet military investigation now is chained to an invalid armchair and only the love of his wife Lydia and several close people allows him to live further. Among the people who not the first year caring of him are two surprising persons J. Rafalsky and M. Ekzekov. They are not his relatives, but simply conscientious people who cannot live without the intimate attitude to the hero. If they did not exist hardly Kent were today with us. If J. Rafalsky was not there also to these memoirs it would be fated to be published very much not soon. And can be, they never would send from a press.

It is an inexpressibly luck for the reader to have this book. These memoirs are written by the person, whose destiny causes admiration and surprise. The feat which the resident Kent of the Soviet military investigation in Belgium and in France has made is brighter than any most talented fantastic or adventure history.
